Personal opinion, if this is true is that it is a STUPID RULE. Everyone is proud of their trucks, let'em post up. You will get more entries, and give folks a chance to see trucks they may otherwise not have seen.

So, if anyone wants to nominate themselves then go ahead and do it. Fight the "man". :wink-big:

(Be for warned though, I have absolutely no authority on this site, so you might get into trouble if you do as I suggest.)

I agree with that partly. The problem is, unlike other sites which allow an unlimited number of contestants per month, to alleviate confusion we only allow 10. I agree that everyone should be proud of their truck, but if everyone self noms themself, we don't really end up with trucks on the ballot that the general population agrees with. I'm not saying that is always true, like Izverg has a sick truck, and I think it belongs on the ballot, but sometimes someone with a stock or close to stock truck will nominate themself, which wouldn't be a bad thing but with only ten on the ballot, it has the potential to push other, more deserving trucks, off the ballot.

I think self noms should be allowed, and people don't nom stupidly often, but there is a reasoning behind banning self noms.

For example, I would not nominate myself. At least not yet. :D

Not to mention I would feel way better to have someone nominate me than to simply nominate myself. I don't say this to guilt people who do nominate themselves, but if someone else thinks my truck is cool enough to nominate me, that's awesome.

That's my take on it as well. Just getting nominated is cool with me. There's too many kickass X's here for there always to be a sure-fire winner each time.

AlpineSpirit and Steeze don't count. They are the exception to this feeling. :mocking:

T-Ray will unfortunately have to be dropped from the list. Missed it by 8 minutes Casper. :) OH and he's not the only X with full-widths, my buddy Tuff who now lives in northern Cali has full-width D60's on his. It's a beast!
