All right, this is my second post. I've only had my X for just a weekend. I'm a mod-head and I'm thinking of front and rear air-lockers (ARB of course) with the heavy duty compressor pump. I had these on my FJ (last car), has anyone done this on their X and where have you put the compressor? the engine bay looks pretty crowded!

I put mine on the driver side inner fender...perfect spot for it. You are going to love the ARB in the X. I am now thinking of getting the front locked up as my next major mod sometime in the future.

I put mine where the OEM jack was, under the floor in the back. It keeps it out of the water and mud.

selectable lockers are the way to go, nothing better than being able to lock and unlock when needed.

I may be wrong but from the OP’s sig he has a 2010 so I don’t think these 1st gen suggestions will help.

Granitex, that is a great use of that space but doesn’t the compressor get a bit hot in there?

I noticed that he has a 2010 after I posted the pic. I think that ARB will in time offer air lockers for the rest of them.

Mine is the smaller one, and I only use it for the lockers so heat build up is not a problem.

Thanks for the reply's, I was thinking of somewhere in the engine bay. That way I can use the pump not only for the air lockers, but also use it to air up the tires. Under the back seat it's not a bad idea. might have to consider that option.

ARB is working on the development of a new air locker for the new X's.
