Hello! Looks like I've found my spot ;) I have been hunting around and thinking about joining an Xterra community for some time, but now I finally have good reason too! Not only are you guys awesome and way into your vehicles, but you all seem exceedingly helpful.. which I am in need of help! I will post more about my issues in the appropriate section shortly after this post.

I got my 2000 Nissan Xterra over a year ago, as we had a really bad winter a few years back and I needed something that could get through the snow. Of course, this last winter we had hardly any snow and I only got to put it into 4-wheel drive once.

I really love this ride.. It has so many sweet features. Most importantly, it defines "Sport Utility Vehicle".. I am displeased to see so many companies consider their cars to be "SUVs" when they simply aren't built as such. Glorified Mini-Vans, glorified mini-vans....

I had been looking into 4-runners, but they were to expensive for what you were getting.. So we then turned to Pathfinders, with the assumption that an Xterra was out of the price range... but then we stumbled across this 2000 Xterra, 2 owners, and 147k highway commuter miles.. Set me back $4500. (Talked down from $5k) ... Came with some aftermarket wheels, which look nice, but they rub - I hate that. Gotta go.

I recently had to have the timing belt done, as the previous owner *thought* that it was changed around 90,000 miles.. not so much. I also just recently replaced the brakes, rotors and callipers. But really, I am a mechanical N00b! So I come here for help with my fuel line problem - more details in my other thread!

My uncle and family are also into Mercedes, and my Sunday driver is a 1992 300CE...My uncle knows everything about classic Benz's, but I don't want to bug him with my Nissan questions.. I will post some pix of it here as well.. I like to be able to switch up from an SUV to a classy ride, it's nice. It's nice to have a second car when the Xterra is in for repairs!!

Thanks in advance, looking forward to learning alot here!!
