does adding the shrocks skids and bumper void the factory warranty?
how about adding a suspension system?
what is the terms of the factory warranty for a 2006?
3 years or 30,000 miles?

NOTHING "Voids the Warranty"
That's what stealerships say....the warrenty is void because you added a mod, etc...
But - there's a law that very specifically outlaws them from doing that....it states that they must PROVE how the particular modification caused a covered part to fail.
So - If you put on a bumper, they'd have to PROVE how the bumper made the radio stop working, etc.
Obviously, if you put on aftermarket shocks, and the shocks break...the aftermarket shocks are not covered....and if you do a suspension lift, but forget to extend a diff breather or a brake line, and you stretch/snap your stock brake lines, well, the mod caused the failure, and they'd have a case, etc.
The thing is that no one has had a warrenty problem with skid plates or bumpers, or even suspensions.
A few people HAVE had fights on the new X's (2005's) when larger than stock tires were used, and diffs blew...but, as it seems to have been traced to a weaker 2005 than 2006+ spider gear set-up (2 vs 4 gears...), Nissan has covered almost all (Not all though) of the blown diffs under warrenty.
So - by law...NO mod voids the warrenty automatically, each case must be proven.
After that...its up to you to mod intelligently.
