Got a way to Jump the car off? Make sure you have a True connection with the cables. How old is the battery?

I just took the battery to autozone and it's good. The headlights are throwing me off. My horn doesn't work so it may have something to do with the antitheft?

I heard 02 X tend to not start after 12,034 key turns....:D

Im playing

Id check the starter.. tap on it a little or even pull it... Its right by the passenger wheel
Might be a loose wire there too
Good luck

PS Id get that Xterra running quick for Red Robbin.... I love there Chicken wrap YUM!

not sure about the lights flashin but I recentl had my 02 not start. turned out it was the + battery cable and the starter. Oh and checkers had the starter... only thing is the 4 cyl and 6cyl motors share the same part number. that is something worth looking into. but the anti theft thing really makes sense. the owners manual might have a way of restarting the system. Like turn the car off and on 4 times open the rear hatch and pop the hood twice or something stupid like that

I beat the hell out of the starter, no change. This is getting frustrating! LOL

Ok I tried bypassing the solenoid and I got spark but no start. Im gonna try and yank the starter. Ive never tried it before and it looks tough to physically get out. Any suggestions?

Just to vent.... Nissan decided to put the starter in one of the most inconvienent spots I have ever seen. I dont have the friggin monkey hands to get that 2nd bolt out, not to mention the strentgh to break the bolt loose! AHHHHHHHH my hands hurt... :*(
