this is whats going on i get like a grinding noise from my supercharger. The bypass valves stem is all the way out if i push it in with my hand it get quiet so i thought it was the bypass valve so i decided to replace it well nothing happened it still grinds. anyone have any ideas or know what it could be please help its getting worse :heul3-big: :heul3-big: :usuck:

Sorry, I have no clue. But for me personally, this is something I'd have a Nissan tech look at.

well i took the vacuum hose off that is right behind the pressure release valve and it stopped making the grinding noise but then it started knocking does that help

damn, i dont think 2 many of us have an sc X.
i for one have never even owned a forced induction engine

Damn well i dont know what to do im thinking for buying a new sc or getting mine rebuilt. Maybe that will fix it :)

IS YOUR WARRANTY STILL ACTIVE?
if so, go beat the shit out of a service rep and tell him not to screw you on the warranty, and if he starts to object, punch him in the throat

lol nah its way over its warranty it has 108k miles. What do you all think with putting a bigger pulley on the sc.

The owners manual says, the supercharger will bypass if a lower octane fuel is used, and makes a noise; u may have got a bad tank full at the wall mart:auslachen2-big:

That would only help with the knocking. The grinding sounds like a mechanical problem, such as bearings in the supercharger. I would seek help immediately, stop driving, as you don't want the engine inhaling anything metalic.
