I know! I did have to get out this weekend and change the brakes, hell I thought was going to die out there. I don't think I have ever sweat so much.
Hey Ratt I am wanting to get a ARB locker, but just found out my little one needs braces, so I do not know if I will have the funds to get it.

Green,

What's the difference between a BL & a PML? Been thinking of doing it to my X as well, and I personally like the clift you have on your X especially since mine and yours are 2000's and are only 2WD :P

Body Lift- lifts the body off the frame.
Poor Man's Lift- lifts the whole truck, body and frame.

Body lift is just that... PML is a suspension lift

No it's not. It's changing the specs on the factory components, which can result in stressed components and an inability to properly align the camber. A suspension lift requires UCA's, shackles and leaf springs.

I know you know this, and I'm not trying to be anal, but there are plenty of users here who don't know any better and who may easily confuse the two.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A PML is NOT a good idea. You achieve a minimal lift for minimal cost up front, but the problems it can cause can come back to haunt you in worn steering and allignment components or tires.

Again, this is directed at those who don't know any better.

/derail

Truck looks badass. I love the painted roof rack but I can't be bothered to take mine off and spray it.

Do what!!!! Man a PML wil not hurt the Xterra For one it is a suspension lift.
Its half of a 3" SL its the shackles for the rear and turning the T-bars.
Torsion bars are made to be adjusted.. Yes you will have to have a realignment but Ive ran mine for a year with ZERO issues as well as many on here have. A BL is a Body lift.. so its what it says it is.. Most run a 2" BL this is for looks and for running bigger tires...

Oh ps... Mike here is running a PML we better tell him he is in danger..

No, it's not. It's HALF a suspension lift, without adding the stronger torsion bars to take the weight or the UCA's, or the shocks.

Do what you want. I had a PML on mine and I killed $2000 worth of rubber and steering parts in a year. Your mileage may vary.

Let me be clear. If you overcrank the Tbars, even a little bit more than they can take, you will stress the torsion bars, the adjusters, the camber bolts, your tires, and may cause all kinds of sympathetic issues with other parts. I know this from first hand experience, so I think I'm entitled to report on it.

You know everybody is entitled to their on opinion. I have had my PML for 3 years , and have never had any trouble with mine. Well back to my X, Ratt here's a couple pics. Cleaned the rear diff and painted, and got some new stickers. Still waiting on my NOAS stickers.Hoping to have new pics of the X in action after this weekend.
