: Holy truck!!
xXxterra02 07-05-2010, 01:30 PM As I was on the way to get my wisdom teeth cracked out of my head I came across this monster in the parking lot. Where does one buy a truck this big and what in the world do you use it for?! A 650? First time I had seen one! It had a huge winch and everything though. Even had 4 gas tanks that I could count.

ejwoods 07-05-2010, 01:55 PM They're mostly bought by people who need them for work and insecure rednecks.
xXxterra02 07-05-2010, 01:57 PM That would make sense :D
rjr162 07-05-2010, 02:15 PM lol yeah there's a guy driving a Chevy/GMC 6500 Kodiak around here.. Xterra yellow to boot

This guys has the tanks down on the sides and a "body kit" that molds them into the truck. Very, VERY clean look. Next time I see him parked at the restaurant across the street I'll snap a pic.
Actually I think I'm wrong.. I think it's the Ford F-650/F-750 he's running with. I only ever get quick glances and am still not sure exactly which it is lol. I have to say though I think the International takes the cake for a pick-up truck. I got the chance to actually install a full system into one of them around 4 or 5 years ago. Being shorter (5'7") it was fun trying to reach half the places I had to

tylas1 07-05-2010, 02:44 PM looks like the truck from transformers
girene 07-05-2010, 02:55 PM Dang if there was one of those with a big ol' flatbed or big enough bed I'd actually consider having one for transporting maybe one or two (?) of the Jeeps (I mean Willy's and Ford's '41-'45 Jeeps) to reenactments. Can't say that a Diesel Ram of the larger models hasn't appealed to me though.
rakso 07-05-2010, 04:49 PM anybody know how much for this monster?
J Everett 07-05-2010, 05:02 PM Those can be had with flatbeds up to 24' (maybe more). They're a common sight here in So. Louisiana, because they're used in the oilfield transportation industry. the ones with p/u beds are less common, but I occasionally see them hauling big-ass campers/toy haulers, big boats, and horse trailers.
My company has one of the Internationals (the yellow one in the above pics) with an 18' foot flatbed. We can haul crew and equipment in one truck, which is nice.
xXxterra02 07-05-2010, 05:06 PM I had to take a double look, at first glance I thought it was a semi!
Nesterra 07-05-2010, 05:19 PM My neighbor drives one of these. He's the owner of the Shed bbq. Don't know if anybody has ever heard of him. His won tons of awards for his bbg.

J Everett 07-05-2010, 05:28 PM Right after I looked at this thread I walked outside and saw an F-650 with a welder's utility bed at the yard across the road from where I work.

xXxterra02 07-05-2010, 05:37 PM Looks pretty close to the one I saw! they are multiplying!!!
03_Blown_X 07-05-2010, 05:46 PM I was at a bar one time and a dude in a wheelchair was driving one. He got lowered down from the drivers seat into a wheelchair. He was in his 20's. From what I heard he had been in an accident and got a HUGE settlement and bought it.

rjr162 07-06-2010, 08:19 AM I'd love to see that Orange Beast go out trailing! I'm guessing 65% chance of a roll over, 100% of not even fitting under the trees!
edit> Yeah, in Japan they do some really, really odd modifications!
