Hello to my Cali friends, who can tell me about Pismo Beach? I heard that you can actually drive your X onto the beach, is that true?? I've got some vacation time in October, and I want to hit up the beach with my Xterra and my dog. Is this doable??? Please help out an ignorant AZ guy.

By the way, I'd love to wheel with you guys when I'm out there. I met some Cali folks during the first "West Coast Meet" in Las Vegas back in Jan 2008 (long before I had the Titan Swap, the Body Lift, the 285s, and the Snorkel), and they were really cool.

Thanks in advance for your help, and I look forward to wheeling with you guys and girls soon.

EDIT: OK, I've got vacation from Oct 15th - Oct 25th, so either weekend (Oct 16-17 or Oct 23-24) would work for me. I definitely like to wheel with you guys. Who else is interested in this run??

I wouldn't know about driving on it. But with a name like Piss-Mo beach it dosent sound to inviting unless you have to go.

j/k LOL

Have a great time at the beach.

It's actually a lot of fun! It's the only place in California that you can drive on beach. The dunes are pretty cool, a little loose but it'll be a blast no matter what. If you're going to go ATVing too and you're gonna rent, get them from HERE (http://www.arniesatvrentals.com/) they have the best prices and the best quads. Don't be turned away that their whole store is pink! Have fun!!!

I'm super new to this forum but I have taken my totally Stock Xterra up there and its a lot of fun. I will have to agree with @tylas1 though. It is mainly pre-running and ATV's but its a really great time. Camp fires and camping right on the beach! i believe it costs 10 or 15 per day and/or they have an overnight charge, nothing too steep though. The weather is always amazing!

Hope that helps a little.
