Anyone know or have any ideas how to get dried cement off paint? I'm not talking a few specs, it looks like mud splashed down the side. It's caked in my finder wells. I thought it was mud, and having zero training in road-engineering, had no idea that cement is used for "stabilizing" gravel roads. So, thinking it was only mud I did not wash it off right away. When I realized what it was, I tried pressure washing and got some. After two county road departments passed the responsibility on down to a private contractor and the only clean up shop assessed $275 to get it off. The rep from the contractor doesn't sound too willing to accept responsibility, despite having no flag-man or signs posted. So, the only thing I have going my way at this point, is that I was driving my HB instead of my X that day, at least it's the older truck.

Muriatic acid maybe? Not sure if it would harm paint but I've used to to clean wheelbarrows just fine without paint damage. I'd mix it evenly with water. 1 cup of acid 1 cup of water. Then use it with a sponge to gently dislodge the concrete.

the same thing happened to me....i ended up using distilled white vinegar and PB blaster and just soaked the cemement, let it sit for a few minutes, and rubbed the crap out of it with a rag and sponge .....for the bigger hunks i chipped away with a pocket knife first

took a little doing, but it all came off
