Hello all,
I've popped my 01 X's cherry by beating up the trails. Actually, my X is a trail-ho now. The previous owner never took the poor girl off-road.
The rear torsion bars sound like they're squeaking a lot. Is this normal for when they're broken in? I hit some serious washboards out there and have gone up and down all sorts of billygoat trails. My 60,000km factory recommended service was just done and nothing came up on their inspection mentioning the torsion bars, only a worn front sway-bar joint.
Do I just need to get under there with some WD-40 and go to town?
Also, my formerly pristine engine compartment is now...brown. When I beat up the trails and blast through lots of mud what should I be inspecting in the engine and oiling up. I noticed that the fan-belt seemed to screech on turn-over when I started her up after going through lots of mud.
I'm loving the Xterra. Next are headers and a cat-back exhaust :auslachen2-big:
