For a last resort you can use your rear spring hanger, not the shackle, but the hanger as a recovery point.
Put a large enough shackle to reach around both sides, so that it is spreading the load over the entire structure.
But go easy on it.
You can also bolt a tow hook to the rear frame rails, under the back bumper if you have time.

Let me do a little bit of searching. I know a lot of guys do a mod where they attach shackles to the frame.

In that case you're SOL for legit tow points.. I can't think of anywhere that's really safe to pull on in the back. I guess just try to get stuck in a way that will allow you to be pulled from the front :P

Just make sure there are a couple guys in front of you and you'll probably be fine. Avoid anything overly dangerous.. you know the deal :)

If you have an AEM intake (Open cone filter)...do NOT go through water too deep, or, fast...as it can splash into your intake and kill your engine.
:D
If you have a FRONT recovery point, you can attach to it, and run the strap, etc, under the truck to the rear if you have to.
Most newbies get stuck by high-centering...you get your tires on either side of a high point (Like between deep tire ruts, etc...), so the frame or a diff, etc...hangs up, with your tires hanging in the air, or with no ground pressure, etc.
Recovery is a light tug/pull to get you off the high-center point.
If you avoid trying to be a deep mud maniac "Hold my beer at watch THIS!" you should be OK.
Hopefully, the guys you wheel with will be level headed and well equipped.
:D
Also, take it easy since you only have one recovery point. As of last week I currently have no recovery points. I snapped the stock hook in half really easy.. Just take it easy, there is plenty of non-conventional recovery points on your X. Like TJ said, just don't do anything stupid and you should be fine. Also, just have your friends go in front of you.
