Hey Everyone,
I figured I would check in too as I just registered. I bought a 02' Just Silver 5-Speed Xterra from a private seller in MA and I couldnt be happier. Xterras were my only choice for my next car. I was a big VW guy so I was constantly on vwvortex forums and I am hoping that you guys can provide as much help to me as the VW guys have over the years...Thanks!

Yea I know of most of the group and clubs on tex. I was there for quite a while it was a very helpful site. I hope this one is as helpful although it seems to lack members...and the classifieds are way outdated

theres a ton of know how here,
the lack of members id assume is due to the fact that this forum is dedicated to a specific model, not a make or continent. but the peeps here are extraordinarily helpful, and knowledgable.
and on top of that, we are nice! flaming is nearly nonexistent,
should be a nice change of pace from vortex

so, have any plans for your X?

I have quite a few plans, I bought this for work and decided I wouldnt mod it like all my other cars but of course that never happens. I dropped in a K&N Filter last night to see if I could feel the difference. I need to focus on gas milage first so ive been adressing those issues: tire pressure, filter; etc. etc. Any other suggestions?

I really want to get a light bar roof rack that seems impossible to find, should I start fabbing my own?

Suspension at this point is up in the air because I can't have any issues with work...

Any other suggestions would be well concidered as Im still figuring out my style

Havent made up my mind if I want to go that Route yet. The original owner had never put synthetic in it and I mean its 50/50 either pay for gas or pay for expensive oil/lubes...Im only on my second take so im still feeling it out...

i would go ahead and swap to syn.... it will run your motor cooler and it dosnt break down under stressfull situations like dino oil

I think I have decided that I am going to make the switch next change which is like 1000 miles away. I dropped the K & N in and have felt a power boost and seen some better MPG. As for mods I got hooked already and bought a bike rack and Ive started collecting for my light rack. Im sure ill be searching for wiring questions next
