cjtherriault 07-28-2007, 03:33 PM dude that sucks.... that looks pretty bad
matt_sr 07-28-2007, 05:02 PM Two questions:
Did you kill the deer and how fast did you have to get going to hit it?
fatkid_UH-60 07-29-2007, 12:01 PM i was only going about 40-45 MPH. any faster he would of probably been in my lap. the buck was thrown in the woods, but i don't think he was killed.
json3904 07-29-2007, 05:16 PM glad to here you are alright how long befor the x is fixed
soccerbrace 07-30-2007, 02:06 AM I seriously do think that was one of those Al Qaeda deer. Did it have a turban on?

fatkid_UH-60 07-30-2007, 07:19 PM good question, i think they just cut it off. i don't know, i'm not a doctor
taylor 07-30-2007, 08:18 PM You know there are easier ways to get yerself a deer for the cookin' an eatin's.
I'm thinkin you just coulda got a license an went huntin instead of driving around waiting for one to jump out in front of you to hit with the X. lol
On another note here in Newfoundland we have the most accidents in Canada that involve Moose / Vehicle / Occupant fatalities. I think last year alone there was 668 moose accident in our province, not sure how many fatalities but I know I responded to 2.
Consider yourself lucky man.
:wink-big:
Anthony 07-30-2007, 09:11 PM Dang, you musta done something bad to a deer in a previous life
matt_sr 07-31-2007, 05:00 PM You see big rigs from Canada down here in Minnesota all the time, they're easy to spot, they have huge bulldozer looking oversized brush guards on the front end. Kind of mad-max like. I finally found out that those things are moose guards.
Anthony 07-31-2007, 10:19 PM That's what shrock bumpers are for :)
taylor 07-31-2007, 11:55 PM All across Newfoundland and parts of Canada you see these signs everywhere.
WoodyTX 08-01-2007, 05:00 PM A Møøse once bit my sister...

He was driving on the I-10 i think when a semi drove over a steel pipe. Luckily he was in the process of switching into the left lane.
json3904 08-11-2007, 01:37 PM that sux!!!!! did it happon in the houston area????
unclehardrock 08-11-2007, 03:04 PM damn....that is crazy. could have been a lot worse if that were a few inches to the left. same thing happened to my parents not too long ago in my dad's wrangler. they were driving down the highway when a dumptruck threw a rock about 6 inches in diameter up into the air....hit the window, went right thru and hit the back seat in the jeep, went right thru the middle of the glass, right between my mom and dad....i'm always worried about taking a bird strike in the glass on the herk....guess i should start worrying more about stuff hitting my x instead...it seems to be more dangerous lately
