So ive been wanting to do this for a long time but wouldnt because i didnt wanna hurt the resale... well after i found out how much the banks think my trucks worth... ( well i should say how little) i decided what the hell.. she's sitting inside the garage all masked up and waiting for some spray tomorrow.. i tried to get some pics but im still teatherd and it takes forever to upload anything.. ill get pics up very soon... i havent seen this color on another X yet, and i cant wait.. its my absolute favorite color.. even my new MATCO box is painted this color.. all my race bikes was painted this color to.. so the few left on here that remember me will know what it is.. the rest ill have pics up soon :)

What color was the hearse?

It was factory super dark blue.

It's just so much easier to find the perfect car, if you aren't bound by the color. Besides I don't think I could ever drive a car that's just like anyone else.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH well i sprayed a panel and something didnt look right... so i waited and it wasnt the finish that it was suppose to be.... not even close... so i had to sand that down and run to the store and they didnt have the paint so i had to run across the state almost to get it, came back and its pooring out side... so i figured id go ahead and do this right instead of halfass it and pulled all the window mouldings and the side moulding off the door using fishing line... so that will all be smooth and no tape lines from rubber... so pretty much a whole day wasted i feel... the manager didnt wanna give me my money back... but when i started getting pissed that the color was missmarked he decide to help me and locate the right stuff.... now im saving up for the air bags and once again some paint... from House Of Kolor... a gallon of galaxy black and a gallon of flatner agent... cant wait, but this will do for now...

i have a little more work to do to it now.. im going to sand it with 1000 and got some clear that will be flat and spray it over this single stage,.. its my first try at painting with a gun and according to the guy that i got it from it was way to hot in my garage and the lights i used made the paint dry even faster.. he told me that flat is a hard color to paint.. and i can see lines in it, which is why we are going to clear it... but here it is

I've also thought of doing a 2 tone with some flat black. I think it would be sick to do it, but I'm afraid I'd just eff it up since i don't have any painting skillz haha

im not sure about the drivers door.... when looking at it, some angles make it look different some make it look the same... it really bugs me... i sprayed one panel at a time because of the drying and the way the paint was layibg down.. this is not going to be a perment color... i think when i finally cut up the back end and cut off the front frame clip and install the hardbody parts then im going for a little bit more of a satin color and done alot more proffesionaly with the house of color galaxy black and thier flatner agent...


and the green bike was how i bought it, in that pic i just put it together after getting the frame and any silver part on the bike dipped in black, it got painted a "keystone grey" which is like a gunmetal.. i like that color to, but to me something just looks mean dipped in flat black.. i love hot rods done in it, and love the red pin striping...

the axle becuase its about 3 inches shorter, so my wheels will tuck in the back, and the fron frame clip, from the body mount forward, so that i can lay from, will also need the oil pan and pickup... but alas cant find any around here..

How much did you end up paying in materials?

i spent about 150 in material, still have 4 quarts of satin clear to get at 65 a quart... and im thinking since my headliner saggs.. the local fabric shop is having a sell on black suede.. im thinking of wrapping eveerything with it
