I would like to know how to get the stereo out of a 2006 Xterra to hook up my Ipod cable

took me a while to find it, but i knew it was here, cause i used it when i put my stereo in on mine. not sure about the aux cable for the ipod, but the last post on this thread by usmc xterra gives a real good description of how to get the dash apart to get to the radio. just be careful, the plastic can scratch real easy when you're moving all the parts around on the dash. also, if you put a new radio in, make sure you plug that little light for the pax airbag back in before you put power on the vehicle, or you'll trip the airbag sensor and you airbag light will flash constantly till you fix it. i've done it to mine twice already. if you do it by accident, do some searching on the forum, there's thread's on how to fix that too. if you have any real specific questions on how to take the dash apart that the thread link doesn't answer, pm me, i'll be glad to help with what i can. i think i even have the schematic from crutchfield on how to take everything apart somewhere still, i should be able to scan and email if you need. here's the link:
