Hey everyone, I'm Jason the owner of a 2001 xterra, and a 1972 240z as my name suggests. Hope I can make a few trailing buddies on here and swap tech info as well.

Here is my baby and a z32 I had just finished an engine swap on when I took the pic.

Here is a shot the other night
http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l306/avenger2me_2006/xterranos007.jpg

I need to start a build thread here. So far "Lucky" has....

5 speed 3.3, leather interior, Kevlar clutch, rock sliders, The front and rear trail bumpers, rear with a spare mount but no ladder as of yet :-(, 3 inch body lift, 3 inch suspension lift, ARB air locker rear, both difs re-geared to 5.6. Centerline wheels with 35s on them, manual hubs, gas tank skid plate, dual pillar mount gauges (alt and oil pressure), 750watt amp for a dual 10 box in the rear and another for the speakers, pioneer head unit, Calmini steering and converted the tie rods to use moog 3/4 ton, Monroe shocks, electric fan...... There are prob some things I'm missing but for now thats good enough.

Here is the build thread for my s30 240z but I haven't really touched it in a while, if you scroll through to the end you will see why. It's worth checking out though (pics, screw reading unless you want details lol). The 1st few pics are missing but the rest are good. You can also see my previous rig, "Max" the d21 kc and the 68 spl311 roadster both of which have been sold.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I forgot to say where in Jersey lol. I'm in Cliffside (Bergen County) maybe 15min from Clifton or maybe like 30min from Franklin.

Clementon? My Uncle lives right there in Laural Springs, exit 3 on the pike to the black horse. Really nice area around there.

Which are you running now?

Was a mistake on my end, I'm running the 1/2 moog from the gm 2wd (ES409R)but....

It's my understanding 71-93 GM 2wd 1/2 3/4 1ton pick ups are all running 11/16-18 and the 4wd are running 1"-18
When it comes time for me to do mine again I'm going to check that.

If adaption was needed though and welding wasn't an option I would just get an adjustment sleeve with 2 different threads. 11/16"-18 inner and 1"-18 outer that way I could run the beefy GM 1" tre's. REALLY good sleeves are only 70 or so dollars, drilling and re-tapping one end is free (If a dual thread cant be found)or I'd say like 50 bucks at a machine shop if need be. I would say a reasonable machine shop would just machine a pair out of a chunk of steel for under $150.

oh i thought you converted the inner/outer tie rod ends to stronger units

right now i have the 1/2 ton ends on the center link, and the OEM replacements on the adjusters
