World Cup starts up June 11th getting excited about this...this is all my family is going to be watching for a month.

My brother is holding a huge get together for the USA's 1st game on June 12th against the damn Red Coats (England) Going to be an awesome game to watch.

One of these days I would love to go to one...my brother & his friends went to the last WC in Germany...he had a great time....soccer & beer...what could be any better HAHA

I'm seriously pumped for this. Got my DVR ready to record anything WC related. Does anyone know if Sirius XM is gonna be broadcasting like they did for the last WC? It was XM that picked it up, but so much stuff got screwed over in the merger, and I haven't heard anything regarding XM broadcasting it this year.

I just hope they don't use US broadcasters to shoot the games.

They shoot the game like 4 year olds play it....they just follow the ball around...so you see NOTHING about what's happening OFF the ball.

There's no context, you can't see plays develop or the defense get back, or anything like the REST of the game..

Lets say we beat Algeria and Slovenia, and lose to England....or beat England too (It happened before, and we're better now than before too...), that gets us through our group at least.

Yeah, I think that we will make it through to the second round but I think England will definitely advance to the second.

we should be in the 2nd round...England is the only team we have to worry about in our group.

It is going to great from the 2nd round on, because you are right. There are so many teams that can nab it right now.

There are all contenders for the cup itself I think. I would like to see Argentina,Spain or Portugal take it over the most common contenders.

I have high hopes for Australia and I hope they show the world what they are made of. Last WC, they were robbed (illegally) by Italy, so I hope that they start whoopin' some ass.

As far as the U.S. goes.....I wish them the best, and I wish that they would go further and further in the cup, but history says to be prepared to be dissapointed.

Holy shit. Did anyone else watch that Portugal 7-nil blowout over N. Korea? That was just ridiculous. Ronaldo scored almost on accident once. It fell off his back and he didn't even know where the ball was, and it sort of fell on his foot right as he found it and booted it in for their 5th goal. As if the People's Democratic Republic of Korea didn't already have an inferiority complex....Kim Jong-Il will be threatening a nuclear launch on Portugal by the end of the day! :)

We came in first in our group, and got to the next round.

For the USA, that's progress.

Ghana is a strong team...we lost in overtime.

The NEXT WC should be interesting, as a whole new crop of US raised, European league trained kids should be coming up by then.
