Well guys just wanted to let yall know that I just got back in the country and got a wild hair up my butt!! Soooo.... I ordered the supercharger from stillen. I found a shop here in houston that will do the work but they are backed up three weeks... Im going to visit the shop on monday and wave some cash in front of them and see if they can push my truck up the line....

Well peak gain is 98hp and 86ft/lbs of torque....

the cost is about $5600 for the kit, and it takes about 15hrs for install, so that will add a little over a grand

Total cost will be 6600+ (depends on total install time)

actually MPG has been said to stay the same or slightly increase (this was from a frontier guy who has one on his truck, not from stillen). I guess it is due to the use of higher octane fuel and better/cleaner/fuller combustion of the gasoline.

hell if you have a supra go ahead and slap a supercharger on it... that would totally kick a$$ (and you wallet)

lol the supra is already a Twin Turbo, I am selling it anyways, BUT i have heard that blowers do not affect mpg before...maybe its just on trucks that they do not do that with, you can burn cleaner all you want with higher octane that has nothing to do with mpg....what I do not understand about this blower viewpoint is the sheer physics of how it would work. At its basic a turbo/supercharger setup is FORCING compressed air back into the system thus increasing the need for more fuel flow to properly mix with this new air...now unless all your offroaders are the crazy type to not adjust your air/fuel curve and are running really lean with the newly aquired F/I setup I do not understand how they would run better on the MPG side of the house.....anyone care to explain cause this has me a little confused lol?

Bad News!!!!!!!!!!

The oil cooler cannot be put back on the truck with the supercharger and the Shrockworks bumper!!!

They had to order me a new oil cooler... so my baby wont be ready untill next week... which means i cannot bring the x to Gulf Shores... and since i am going out of town i wont see her for a little over a week....

Im depressed now!!

also on another note, we used to go stay in some condos on the beach in gulf shores every summer, it rocked

dude that's pretty damn sweet. i bet your wallet is feeling it cause you've been getting on the gas everywhere though....i know i would. where in africa are you headed to? i spent about a week in kenya and djibouti while i was over in the sandbox on the last deployment. not too bad of a place....hot as anything though, so that is going to suck, especially this time of year. i was there in march and it was almost unbearable. take it easy over there
