: 35's ARE A GO!!!
Sedona 05-14-2010, 11:27 PM Hey guys. Overrated maybe? But I know I could pull it off as it sits now. It really doesn't rub at all. Took it around the block and took turns at 30 mph and no rubbing = ) I still want to trim a little more plastic on the front fenders to even it out but I think its basically done. It's sitting on 15x10 Black D's with 4 in BS. I think I will switch them to 15x8's with 4.75 BS just to give myself some more peace of mind. This is just the first few pics I snapped from my iPhone. More to follow tomorrow and such.

miskywhisky 05-14-2010, 11:43 PM nice but i'd get some taller gears ASAP! I can't imagine the vg likes pushing those around.
Sedona 05-14-2010, 11:50 PM yeah I have been looking. The lowest I can find for the rear is a 5.8 but for me to match the front I can only find 5.14's. That's still a lot lower then the 4.6's I have in there stock lol ;) They will come real soon though. Planning a wedding and funds are getting a little low. Definitely after the wedding for sure lol JUNE 26!!! ;)
miskywhisky 05-15-2010, 12:03 AM so your 5 speed has 4.6's too? Weird, i wonder what ones came with 4.9's then. I thought mine was 4.6 cause its an auto. I want to get 4.9's for mine with the 33's but i know 0 about relashing differentials.
Sedona 05-15-2010, 12:06 AM Its always great to have a few mechanic buddies ;) its just like having friends who have boats. I'd never buy a boat because of all the work involved. But id gladly fill the tank to go hit the lake.
Usually a 6 pack is enough for my neighborly mechanics ;)
TaylormadeXterra 05-15-2010, 12:21 AM Awesome
Just for the record, mine has the 4.90s. '03 auto 4x4.
TimRich 05-15-2010, 10:14 AM Bad ass!!!
jadriver 05-15-2010, 10:19 AM looks sic! is the x your dd?
Just for the record, mine has the 4.90s. '03 auto 4x4.

KChurch86 05-15-2010, 12:54 PM Very nice, looks mean! Excited to see 'em on all four corners!
cgvalant85 05-15-2010, 02:04 PM Looks good! Have you tried them out on the rear yet? You might need to trim some back there and/or extend the bumpstops a little.
Sedona 05-15-2010, 03:46 PM Yeah this is my DD ;) I have some pics of the rear with them on and honestly I still have alot of room. More then the front atleast. I won't need to trim at all :) hope you guys like it and more pics to come.
thats how they should look from the factory
NateDawgG 05-15-2010, 04:44 PM Dude that looks sick. Now I wanna get more height and bigger tires....
;)
Sedona 05-15-2010, 05:29 PM Sorry for the delay on pictures. Driving to the hospital for a tetanus. Was doing a little outside painting and I stepped on a nail. Well... Not even a nail... Just rust!
BigDog107 05-15-2010, 05:42 PM sweeeeeeeeeeet. you should leave them on the 15x10s tho....just hack some metal off.
XRockerX 05-15-2010, 06:05 PM Nicely done! looks good!
Sedona 05-15-2010, 06:15 PM Yeah I would but I'm worried about them sticking out too far from my fenders. I don't need any tickets looking badass lol. From my fender to the top of my tread it's about three inches. But to the outside of my sidewall it's easiy 4 plus inches. Washington law says I think three inches.
The BS on the 15x10 is 4 inches, and on the 15x8s it's 4.75. You think the .75 inch I gain from the BS would help that a whole lot? Plus I was nervous about the 8 inch width because of the manufacturer minimum width is 8.5 inches on the Cooper STTs

Your actually get more than .75. You get about 2 inches..
I have 33x12.5 on 15x8 with 4.75 and they stick out only about 2 inches..
Pics in the build thread.. http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18417
Sedona 05-15-2010, 07:01 PM Can someone mount a tire that's only supposed to be on a minimum width of 8.5 when the rim width I have is a 8 inches? It's just a 35x12.50 R15.

yeah... TJTJ has 13.5'' on 7 inch stockys
BigDog107 05-15-2010, 07:03 PM Yes you can do it...I have 12.50s on a 15x8
but i personally think you should leave the 15x10....looks so bad ass
Sedona 05-15-2010, 07:28 PM I don't want to have to add a rubber fender though lol. I'll get it measured better and see what I think. Maybe take it to highway state patrol and see what's up. If it's legal I'll keep it lol

You can still get 15x8 with 4bs and they'll be in between what mine are and yours..
Sedona 05-15-2010, 07:40 PM Lol that would be nice. But seeing that would be my third set of wheels lol I dunno if I could
Powerguy37 05-15-2010, 08:51 PM I would think you would have to do some trimming in the rear if you take it off-road. I have a fair amount of lift and I had to trim a good bit to fit the
35's without a lot of rubbing. Especially when I stuff the tire in the rear.
Sedona 05-15-2010, 08:55 PM aright guys. As promised, here are some more pictures. From my iPhone.

Sedona 05-15-2010, 10:29 PM Powerguy. You've got a pretty sweet X! I was flipping through some of your trail runs and some of the scenery is absolutely gorgeous! What kind of camera mount do you have up top?
Xtreme4x2 05-15-2010, 11:30 PM Sweet! that looks badass! I have those rims on my '02 and those tires in 265/75/16 on my '06.

X2! Man I love the look of your X.
Sedona 05-16-2010, 08:50 AM Thanks guys. Glad you like it. I'll get some better pictures here soon. Just been busy lately. I haven't noticed a huge power loss yet either. I've got 4.6 gears and its still pretty peppy considering I'm going from 31's to 35's. Once I get those 5.14's though its on! lol I'll be satisfied with my X and stop modding for a while. Will need to get some sliders and gears and then I'm done for a while. lol..... I hope
alpine spirit 05-16-2010, 09:08 AM Groovy
