While exiting the interstae the car died.
It had plenty of fuel in the tank.
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and it started.
Ran it for say 5 minutes and shut it down.
It would crank but not start. Sounded like it would not catch but wouldn't.
I let it sit again and it started, but this time it died on its own.
My guess is the fuel pump is shot.
The vehicle has 155000 mi on it.
I was also told the chip in the key might be at fault, but based on the fact that it would start I kinda believe this ain't it.
What's anybody think?
Thanks:aufkopfhauen-big:

Does it run smooth when it is actually running or does it idle rought and then shut off?

Once started it runs smooth and appears normal. Revs good thru the band while in park but will eventually die.

Were there any dash lights on?

No lights. Everything on the dash appeared normal while it was running.

Check your entire battery/charging system. You can do this test for free at your local parts store.

Also, check the ignition fuses by your left knee.
