Hey, everyone just bought a 2004 Xterra XE. I like it so far, however, the first time I put a cd in it wouldn't eject it. Luckily the dealer put a new one in for me. Was wondering if this was a common problem? The dealer said not to put burned cd's in there because they are thicker than regular cds and that is what caused the malfunction. Any truth to that? B/c I have a lot of burned cds.

My Fronty has the 6disc in dash, and i think all 6 discs in there now are burned.... so... sounds like BS to me...
I think you just had a bad unit, they replaced it.... you should be good to go.
however i think a full set of skids and sliders, and some beefy tires may help out some... but thats just my opinion...

there are some burned cds that are to thick.... if it has a lable on it then it will get stuck even on aftermarket players..... but a regular cd is the same size as a burned without the lable.... yes the stealership is full of bs....

yes..
however the skids and sliders do not protect against dealerships being full of BS...

But getting some good armor will let you slide over the BS...
