: Bling anyone?
I just got finished reading a few of the posts and I'm starting to get the feeling that no one else is intested in adding a little "Bling" to their X. I was thinking about putting some 22' and lowering the vehicle so that it sits right and doesn't look like a car on roller skates. Am I alone in this Quest? The area that I'm at doesn't really have any trails.

The bottom line is, its your truck. If thats the way you want it to look, then go for it.
If you want my opinion, that sounds the same as if you took a Corvette, put in a 36 inch lift kit, some big ass mudder tires, and a winch on the front. :)
But then again, its you truck.
Know whut I mean Vern? :)
Ricer-X 02-16-2006, 08:05 AM at one point i was undecided as to which road of modding to take. i did find some 22s that i really liked, black with the big polished lip. but then i took it offroad and well the rest is history. wherebouts do you reside?i think that the X would look good in such a fashion, it has a pretty aggressive stance imo, would compliment big wide wheels nicely
BOOFER 02-16-2006, 08:52 AM On second thought, I was thinking of doing "this" with my 350Z :D
Ricer-X 02-16-2006, 09:36 AM now that is a seriously intimidating Z!
mtxterra 02-16-2006, 08:46 PM im tired of seeing everything on the road having something bling on it. thats why i chose to do the offroad thing with my xterra, judt to be different i guess, and its more fun to go offroad then to sit at a car show, for me anyways
Silver 02-17-2006, 06:26 AM I have absolutely no plans to bling my Xterrra...I just don't see it as being the right type of car to pimp out. If anyyhing I want to make it more "manly" (even though I'm female). I want to put a front grille on, some more heavy duty tires, and beat the shit out of it offroading.

LOL! :D  :D
Ricer-X 02-17-2006, 07:48 AM I want to put a front grille on, some more heavy duty tires, and beat the shit out of it offroading.
spectacular! i may not be the only one with tons of filthy dirty pics!
MileHigh05! 02-17-2006, 09:06 AM I hear you Flip. I dont really want to spend 20,000 to beat the crap out of my ownly ride. If I had a sports car too maybe. Now I am not a sissy by no means. And I haven't really blinged my truck out. But I do want to keep it classy tint, more horses, and some nice added features.

Now don't get me wrong here. I'm not talking about just putting on some shiny rims and chrome on everything else. I just want the nice clean look for now. WIth a few electronics inside like a flip down screen for my daughter. Maybe a few years down the line when I get stationed somewhere else I will start riding trails but where I'm at right now. Trails are to far and few if any. I do however appreciate the honest feedback. :)
carphreak 08-26-2006, 11:40 PM i have seen a few xterras with the blings on them. i was actually considering them since i only have a 4x2 and really have no plans or time to go offroading. the biggest i have seen is one with 24s on it. i have also seen one lowered and with a modified integra aftermarket bumper. search around cardomain.com and also go to 4x4parts.com for those lowering kits. goodluck and post pics on what you decide.

they still made those? dang, i thought they were like retired two decades ago! hahaha i think anyone who puts these on their ride nowadays also puts a sticker of their last name and the city where they came from on the back window. seriously though, spinners are waaaay too much bling for an X. just a thought......
json3904 11-01-2006, 05:45 PM I dunno i am the same way i dont know if i wanna put rims or do like everyone else but i guess after i get another ride of the wife things might change
lowhombre 01-10-2007, 05:24 PM i just dont think its the right vehicle to "bling"............
fatkid_UH-60 01-10-2007, 09:11 PM since i bought my X (um... two days ago), i've been trying to decide on how far i would like to take my mods in the future. being that this will also be my daily driver, i needed to find a balance of sorts. here is a quote from a good xterra site.
"Something that can drive out of my driveway, go 1000 miles over highway, turn off onto a dirt road and go another 50 miles into the backcountry and set up a comfortable campsite away from everybody else. No trailers, no stops, nothing to fix before hitting the trail; a stand alone vehicle that can take two people anywhere." -- www.xterra101.com
ah, for a poor crewdog to dream...
NateDawgG 01-31-2007, 04:08 PM I blinged my X this weekend. I gave her a "Mountain Bling." I took her up in the mountains, found a very nasty, twisted Forest Service road, put her in 4WD mode and got her all dirty.
Even though I live in LA, I refuse to wash her off. She looks totally awesome all filthy and muddy. Alas, it just rained and now she's almost sort of clean. But the good news is I bet this weekend the mud puddles will be 10 times bigger up there.
22" rims - $4000
A day in the mountains on backroads - priceless
:D
bxterra 01-31-2007, 06:13 PM i think you have watched to much MTV, a lowered car with big rims is more of a pain in the ass to drive around than anything else, i just loved rideing around with my freind, lord forbid having to navigate a speed bump or a steep drivway, and i like hearing his tires crunch on the fender wells if he turns to sharp and hits a bump.
and it looks dorky and childish, just my opinion.
WoodyTX 02-02-2007, 02:16 PM I've always thought bling was for someone more interested in style than substance... to whom appearances are more important than what's inside.
And spinners? Handy for slicing carrots once you get to the campsite, I guess...
But that's just me.
