Good Choice!! you dont really need to do mods on an x...they are VERY capable vehicle......but why not make it even better!!! Mine is stock (for now soon to be sas'd) and i take it up to cow mountain witch is a off road park in Ukiah, i take it on the expert trails with no problems, just dont go to fast lol, you DO do allot of wheel stands at stock height hahaha, other than that daily driving is good and i take it to Tahoe every weekend during snow season and it is VERY good in the snow......what im trying to say is DO IT!!!!! if you ever want to scope it out maybe we can organize a meet....we have been trying to do that anyways!!!!

new member from walnut creek. going up to hollister tomorrow but not bringing my x just yet. we are taking my friends lifted 4runner, i want to check out the terrain first :P will probably be doing a lot of trips to carnegie.

Any trips planned? Is this the correct forum to post a Nor Cal trip? I was thinking an over night trip off the McKinney Creek Trail. This is a fun trail and it's stock and first timer friendly. If there's any interest let me know and I'd be happy to take the lead and it going.

San Jose/Santa Cruz. About to hit Buzzard Lagoon rd. A trail that takes you from Summit rd. in the Santa Cruz mountains to somewhere in Watsonville. Down to roll anywhere. 2011 stock pro4x.

Id like to do something, I'm not in nor cal but am actually closer to you guys then the vegas crew. I dont know the area, last summer made it across the golden gate bridge completely by accident, on a trip from 6 flags. Im thinking about heading to the red wood forest, some time before summer ends, i've never been there so i figured it would be a pretty cool trip.

Sure i'll lead. I have a stock ride and I hit most the black diamond trails with no damage and not getting stuck so i'm sure any one with decent tires and skid plates should be fine. http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1179

im in nevada city. i dont own a x but my girlfriend does. im on here to get tips on how to make it keep up with my ranger on the trail. we took the x out wheelin a months ago and it did great. i would really like to meet up with some of you to get some pointers and go wheelin.

Just hit up Hollister hills yesterday (Labor day) Maybe six other rigs out there. Had the place to ourselves pretty much. Very very dusty this time of year with lots of soft loose dirt. I can meet you there any time and would be happy to lead the pack. So pick a date and lets do this.

Amador county/Pioneer area. Also from 4x4norcal.com. I'm all of 30 mins from Pardoe/Bear river, 20 mins from Calaveras Dome trail.
