Ok, I installed a hitch and wire harness thursday, took it for a ride with the camper tucked in behind it for a road test and decided to see how it pulled in 4wd. Hubs locked but the light never came on. Headed back to the house and dropped the camper and headed out again to see what the deal was with the light. Ran it through all the shifting options...2h, 4h, 4l....light never came on, but the hubs were definitely locked. Got the usual hop on the tight turns...any ideas on this one?

The light doesn't come on to indicate when the hubs are locked, just when the transfer case is in 4wd.

That being said, there is a small switch on the transfer case that tells that light when to come on, and sometimes it either gets crudded up or broken, and the light won't function.

'04 Xterra 4wd XE Blue/Black....and we loves it! Although it is not as good looking as our '02 Frontier XE 4wd CC LB Yellow/Black (no rack ever on it)

Uh....where on the xfer case might this pesky bugger be?
