LaBatt or Corona. Though, for the most part, I'm a gin and tonic or a martini type of girl.

I guess those of you in the northern part of the US near the US/Canadian border can probally get your hands on some Canadian beer, but I don't think those who are a little south can get to taste the true nectar of the gods "DOMINION ALE" ,actually its only sold here in my province of Newfoundland/Labrador. We don't even let other provinces in Canada have any of it. It even says on the box "For Newfoundlanders Only" :D Other than that I like to have a sip on Canadian Club Whiskey or Strongbow Cider.

+1 for the Strongbow Cider...only a few places around here sell it, so I stock up on a few growlers full to keep at home :p

You might want to think about the beer you drink . I was at the budwieser brewery at busch gardens taking the tour ,and the tour guide stated that it takes three days to make budwieser . I know for a fact that it takes three weeks to brew a lager or pilsner. I asked the guide how they did it so quickly , and he said "chemicals",Ialmost fell over. Needless to say I didn't take the free samples at the end of the tour. I found out later on that there is 300+ ingredients the breweries can add to beer without listing them on the lable.

Aside from that I drink just about anything that doesn't come from one of the bigger breweries ,and by the way dominion sells a variety case at a couple of beer distributors in my area.

Please dont think I'm a wise guy but if your counting calories try drinking a good strong ale it has 5x the alcohol so you dont have to drink as much of the watered down chemical beer.

That's wild about the brewery, but I think that the dominion you are refering to is the wrong one. Here in Canada the beer company MOLSON ( as in Molson Canadian) has breweries across the country. Dominion Ale is a local beer thats was first made by a small beer company called BENNETT, when Molson set up shop here in Newfoundland it bought the Bennett Brewery thus making Dominion Ale for Newfoundlanders and not distributing it across the country as each province had its own local beers. The Beer bottle is dark brown with a red/orange/yellow label with the picture of a large moose neck on the front of the bottle. Although I'm still amazed at Bud info you posted. If your one for counting carbs try Labatt Sterling, 2.5grams of carbs. God knows I should start counting them :D

I'm just curious about the variety pack that iandade01 mentioned. If you can check out the website www.mylifeisbeer.com/beer/bottles/bottledetail/281/
it would be greatly appreciated.Theres a pic of the Dominion Ale bottle as well as some other local beers. I'm just interested to see if that was the beer that you had mentioned its just nice to see a small local beer turn up in different parts of the world. Sorta takes the edge off the homesickness :( when your travelling and can have a little taste of home. :)

I'm sorry they dont sell any alcohol at supermarkets here you have to go to the beer distributor . I have been to new york several times and the supermarkets do not have anywhere near the selection of a GOOD beer distributor here .I have no idea where you would get good beer in new york .

If you know there are several different kinds of beers you might want to try .
That dominion ale is damn good stuff, but doesn't pack much punch. If you are looking for max. alcohol try anything called barleywine , they have to call it that because there is too much alcohol to call it beer.(little sweet thought)You might find sierra nevada bigfoot barleywine at the supermarket.I usually stick to india pale ales they run usually between 6-8%alcohol and depending on the brand are not too bitter.

Try brooklyn brewery beers they are out of utica,or try saranac another new york brewery that makes decent beer at a better price. If you get brooklyn you will know where the extra money went.

Sorry taylor it is different stuff ,the label is different but it does have a picture of a buck on it like your bottle . Its pretty cool that you have your own exclusive brewery ,now thats something to be proud of!

We have lots of small local breweries but they will send that stuff anywhere.

Black Dog Ale or Guinness are my favorites, but I generally drink Bud Light or Amber Bock.

Newcastle (drinking it since before it was trendy) and Sierra Nevada (hard to find outside California, from what I'm told). Two totally different tastes, btw.

But... if I'm drinking with a purpose (like, to get drunk)... only 1 thing. TEQUILLA!

obviously you don't get out of PA much!! They sell beer in gas stations and grocery stores in most other states ..PA is one of the last that only allow beer to be sold in distributors and not on Sundays.

But, back on topic...my favorite beer is to not have to drink it! I'm a chicky girly zima type of drinker!!
