is this so that you can turn it on and off by a switch?

that would be pimp for deep water, i can imagine how hard the fan is for the motor to turn once it becomes a propeller, i was considering this for my yota, i know the military hummers have a switch to disengage the clutch in their rad fans

wow that is so sad. i've drove a hummer more times than i can count and i didn't even know that. shows how well they train us huh?

our hmmvs dont have a switch for the fan, and they suck anyways. no the reason i want to do it is to have less drag on the motor. youll save some mpg, itll probly make as much diff as using the ac or not. but theres less drag on the motor to rob hp.

this is true about the mpg and hp
i got a budy in the marines, when i told him how i took my yota thru 4' deep water he told me i should get that. he has been back from iraq for about 3months now, i cant remember if he said there was an actual switch or if when there was significant resistance it would automatically disengage, oh yea he went into the usmc as a mechanic

ok i also just found one that says it fits a 98-01 xterra, well im pretty sure they didnt make a 98 or 99 xterra lol.... but if it would fit the 01 what is diff than the 02 down there?
i gotta measure the rad it says this for the mounting surface 17½" x 27½" x 4" for a minimum... time to break out the tape measure
