What is a good tire for highway driving? I never go off roading bu may occaisionally drive down a dirt road. I'm in south Ga so rain handling is a must. I like my tires to look good as well and would be willing to up the size a little as long as th height stays the same. I currently have the stock 16" premium alloy wheels.

I would go with a good all terrain. BFG All Terrain KO's are a favorite here. I put a set on my fiance's X and she never goes off road but wanted the look. I have Nitto Terra Grappler and they preforme well on and off road. They also have a good raiting on wet roads. You can fit a 32 in tire or the equivalant on the stock rim without trimming. Good luck!

I just looked at my wheels and I have 265-70-15's. Is that normal? I notice most with 2001's have 16" wheels. They aren't the base steel wheels, they're the alloys.

bridgestone dueler REVOs might be a good choice, they are very street friendly but still have a bit of an AT tread

x2 go with the revo's. they are a great tire. you won't be dissapointed. 01 Xterra's came with 15 and 16 inch rims

If you have 15" rims and are looking to stay ~ stock height, 31 x 10.5/15's are OK.

You could fit 32 x 11.5's if you would go bigger though.

I'm considering these

Falken Ziex S/TZ04

They have good reviews for the weather I'll be using them in and they have an aggressive but sporty (performance) look. They're also S rated. Anyone have experience with these?
