First I've heard of it. Interesting design though. I've been using a 30K pound ProComp snatch strap and it has worked extremely well in some really tough extractions.

Looks like a great product. Kind of pricey, I’d stick with a snatch strap and a couple of shackles at the same cost.

I'd like to see it in action first. Did anyone ever see the Top Gear Polar Special where the Icelanders used long bungee type cord to jerk the trucks out of the ice and snow? Is Bubba Rope like that, or is it just a tough rope?

I think it's like the stuff they used on topgear I might get it. Not sure should I go with 20' or 30'

If it stretches that much, you're going to need a hell of a lot of room to do an extraction. Good for the beach, probably not much use in the woods.

I use my 30ft. strap in tight spots all the time. You just have to double-it back.

Actually I make a lot of that myself.

I have all the leather, buckles and harness tack, and the tools to put them toghether.

No I will not elaborate, nor share the other websites I go to.

The way the extraction ropes stretched in that Top Gear episode, you'd need 90-120 ft. to pull someone out with a 30ft rope. They really were like bungee jumping cords that stretched 3-4 times the original length. I use a 30 ft strap all the time on the beach, and to jerk someone out of the sand with a strap is a hell of a lot harder on the chassis than it would be with the bungee stuff. It really was impressive, just took a lot of space. But I don't think this Bubba Rope is that elastic.
