Hey Guys,

My names Ty, I am from B.C. Canada, I just bought my Xterra in the fall, It is a Red 2002, Its bone stock at the moment, painted my stock rims black, I am keeping my winter tires that came with it on those, (I am a snowboarder so they do come in handy) they are some nice 275/75 Toyo's. I just ordered some 16'' Black Helo Maxx rims

I have some 245/75 All Country M/T's with 70% tred for those when they come. I want want do a couple mod's this summer, Definatly going to paint the plastics black here soon, anyone have any suggestions to paint that works well and won't peel of or chip easy? I want to do a 2'' or 3" body lift? and mount some lights up top and below the bumber. I wont be doing much off road, but I do drive into the mountains via logging roads or trails to go camping and stuff. Just stoked to be a proud owner of an Xterra, Wanted one for a long time.

Welcome A Board!

:D

245/75/16's?

That's kind of small for a stock X, and with a 2-3" BL, they will look rather tiny-er.

:D

With even a 2" BL, you can run 285/75/16 or 305/70/16's, no problem.

That will improve the ride, handling and braking, as well as the off road/bad weather ability.

I can't tell from the post what your specs are, but you want ~ 5.5" of backspacing on the new rims.

Enjoy!

:wink-big:
