I found this posting (http://www.offroaders.com/info/tips/useful_tips.htm) (scroll all the way down to 'Protecting Your Paint') He suggests that in terms of durability and protecting your paint from brush scratches that using a floor wax might work better even than the carnuba based waxes. It does make some sense as floor waxes are formulated for rough and scuff use far beyond what most auto finishes see. It does seem that you've got to be very careful about application and probably wear gloves if you try this.
