hey i'm in the army heading home from Korea and i just bought myself a 2003 xterra 2dr, i have airaid air intake on the way for my first little upgrade, i want to turn my xterra into something im proud of, i do have a little one on the way so the whole major off road thing is kinda out of the question. So i want it to stand out on the road a little but i dont want to go broke getting there, any tips on which way i should take this would be great

Welcome! Post up some pics when you get her. I'd go with a poor man's lift and bigger tires for starters. That will change the appearance quite a bit and make you stand out from the rest...

The Poor Man's Lift is maybe the biggest bang for your buck.

Maybe 2wd? I don't think Nissan grew any 2 door Xterras.

Welcome from Ky!
Yup, gotta see some pics.

Also, check out the Military X owners (http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/showthread.php?t=18045&highlight=military) thread and drop some knowledge!

Welcome! If you want to make your X a little more striking, maybe go with some free mods like pulling off the step rails and mud flaps.. you could also paint your plastics if they are faded. And like Andreas said, a Poor Man's Lift (1.5in suspension lift) would be nice and it's cheap. Do a search for PML.

Most people here started with the small stuff and moved on to the bigger mods... head over to the member's xterras section for some inspiration!
