Hey CX! I came home for spring break and my dad tells me he will pay for new tires. I was shocked! Anyways, we went with the Bridgestone Dueler Revo 2's. My question is whether I should have the lettering on the inside or outside of the tire? I'm leaning towards having it on the outside. I think I like the look of the white against the black X. Your opinions would be greatly appreciated and as always, pictures are awesome.

i have a black 09 and got Duratracs mounted black out, my reasons were that the white letters say "GOODYEAR WRANGLER" in big letters, not very clean looking and every car out there has that on their tires. it looks good black out, but kind of boring and there are many days I wish i could go back and go white out. the other thing about the bridgestones is LOTS of trucks/suvs have some kind of dueler on them and again, if you go white out it'll look like all those trucks. i'd say (if you have white out now) go out with a sharpie and black out all the letters on one side of your X and compare the white and black sides to see what you like.

Here is my Xterra with Revo 2's and white lettering facing in. I like the tires BTW, they have gotten me through everything I wanted (only deep snow, light snow, ice, and heavy rain) to this point without an issue.

First pic is just mounted, second is with blacked out rims.

I really tried to convince my Dad to get the bf goodrich at's but they were $60 more per tire.

Personally, I prefer the black side out...but if you like the white letters out, its your truck, and really, this is a personal preference issue.

I don't think you should do what other's like, unless your truck is being made to impress THEM, otherwise, it should be what YOU like, period.

are the tires directional?

What do you mean by directional?

And one other question: I got a call from Duscount Tire saying the Revo 2's are on backorder and it will take 2-6 weeks to get them in. Do you think I could go in and request a more expensive tire (aka bf goodrich at) for a discount? I'm not trying to screw them. I'm just wondering because originally my dad didn't want to pay the difference for the bf g's but he might if we could get them cheaper.

Couldn't hurt to ask.

Directional means they were designed to only be run one way

Directional means they were designed to only be run one way

I'm assuming they aren't because the guy at Discount Tire asked which way we wanted the lettering to be.
