Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum and I have a few questions about routine repair and maintenance.

I have a 2000 Nissan Xterra SE at about 73000 miles. My timing belt and rear shocks are being replaced as I type this. I'm really in the dark as far as routine upkeep is concerned and I wanted to see if anyone can help me out.

What repairs should I be looking out for? I don't take my Xterra offroad and really only put about 10k miles on it per year, if that.

Inside your owners manual should be a maintenance schedule. Just follow that and you'll be fine.

As for priceing, that would depend on if you do it yourself, if you take it to a dealer or if you take it to your local garage. It would also depend on the parts/fluid you use. For instance, something as simple as an oil change can be anywhere from $15-$100 depending.
