anyone tried Bondo black restorer. just found this at walmart for 9 bucks. used it on my door handles and windshield wiper..cowl..uhhm.....area, whatever its called. im very impressed so far, havnt had time to do the rest of the plastics, but it went on really easy and immediatly looked good without having to rub it in like mothers back to black, wasnt greasy like mothers either. and i went through the car wash about an hour after applying and its holding like a champ. ill be letting you guys know how it lasts long term

Hope it works out... Most of those last a couple weeks then you have to re apply

I'd just paint them and call it a day...

I used a generic magic eraser on mine and took off the oxidation(fading) easily. looked brand new and black without any dressings or lotions :)

yeah, i painted my last xterras plastics, and it looked good until i threw enough rocks and mud all over it and it started chipping it off then it just looked cheap.....but i just used bumper paint, ive heard good things about krylon fusion, so i may end up trying that. and i dont really expect the bondo stuff to actually last 6 months, just hoping it will last longer than mothers back to black, that stuff only lasts like a week. i really just wish i would come up with something to replace the plastics by the front fender and back bumper because as soon as i get my new front bumper fabricated im throwing the ugly ass stock one in the mississippi where my mudflaps, step rails, and sway bar went.

let us know how long it lasts. I remember the back to black looked good for a bit but once it rained it was gone (which happens often here).
