Hope you all welcome me. My wife has a 2000 2wd Nissan Xterra and I am trying to change the brakes and rotors on her ride. Upon 1st try it seems like I need a special tool to remover the rotors from the vehicle. I have tried to locate one from the local parts suppliers in my area and with no luck. They do not understand what tool I need. One supplier said it was a "spanner wrench." I have not been able to locate one for her vehicle.
If anyone could advise me the tool needed and size would be greatly appreciated. Her brakes are so bad I have had to park her ride until I can get it repaired. Needless to say, I am without a vehicle while hers is parked.
Thanks for anyones help.

Welcome from Ky!
Haven't gotten into the brakes myself, some gearheads want to chime in here?

This link is for servicing the front-wheel bearings but it also covers removing the rotors since that is a required step. This should explain everything you need.

I appreciate the link that was attached. The vehicle shown was a 4WD. The part that have to remove is only located on a 2 model. If I take a photo and post would it be helpful in locating a tool to remove? Please advise. Thanks
