Well my name is Trevor, last October I bought a new 06 Xterra Off Road. I love it, only a few minor glitches, but nothing major. I have done nothing to my toy yet, but would like to get some wheels for it. What a disaster that is in Northern BC. Anyhow, if you feel like you would like to add me to your MSN my addy is

Telkey@msn.com

I am also a club president and forum admin for a group called BCJbody, J bodies are GMs sunfires, cavaliers, etc.

Nice to be here and I hope to glean lots of useful information from you folks.

Oh just the lights on the dash flicking on and off after I take it out of 4LO, apparently something does not disengage fully and flashes the rear diff lock and VDC Off lights very randomly and sporadically. Other than that it ben a gem.

I guess I shouldnt say I have nothing done to it, I do have the Nissan approved front bush guard and 3M protective tape across the hood and in other places likely to be impacted by flying objects.

well just keep in mind that if you hit somthing that the guard will multiply the impact rather than reduce it..... here are some links to show you.... and i hope that we dont start another thread like the last one on brush guard........ LOL

Search on the BRUSH GUARD (http://www.clubxterra.org/forums/search.php?searchid=9718)

it is just a search i did on this forum..... about brush guards
( key word BRUSH)

Welcome A Board!

:D

sorry about the brush guard...they look like they should work...but they don't...all the newbies fall for it thinking it will make the front end look tougher, etc....w/o knowing what's really happening, etc.

:(

They're removable though, and easily sellable on E-bay, etc...to another unsuspecting newbie...etc, who then posts on line, and sells it to yet ANOTHER newbie, etc...passing them along like X-Mas Fruit Cakes.

:D

LOL, i dont think I will be selling it anytime soon, I have already whacked a deer with it (a big BC deer) and sustained no damage, and has a new name, it is now called my deer deflector :D

That's fine...its like the people who are in an accident w/o a seat belt, and swear they would have died if the belt had trapped them/they had not been thrown clear, etc.

Welcome to the Club!

Yeah Shrock is easy to get if you live south of the Canadian Border, but of you live outside the US, it becomes a little cost prohibitive.
