OK, so i bought a set of wheels for my 2004 X 2wd. So i go today and get the tires mounted and they call me to inform me that the front ones wont fit over the hubs(DAMN). I bought from ebay and before i had a chance to research them enough the i won them. According to the part # they are for a GM(right bolt pattern/wrong center hole size; nissan hub is roughly 3 7/8, new wheels are about 3") So i now own a new/used set of used wheels that wont fit, or will they? The hub only sticks off the rotor assembly by about 3/4" so could i just get some spacers? Shouldnt that allow me the clearance that i need to get past the hub and dust cover and then be able to bolt them on?. Has anyone else had this problem or am i just that impatient and stupid? thanks, Alex

Either have the center holes bored out to size, or get some new wheels. Don't try to make something work that isn't meant to work. Never mess with safety.

Would having the center holes machined out be OK(safety wise)

i think it would work..... i have afriend of mine that has some chevy rim with the same bolt pattern as the X and he told me he would give them to me and all i have to do is the same thing as anthony said..... could this be done by me or it needs to be taken to a shop??????

I was thinking of taking it to a machine shop. Would that waeken the wheel though and would they want to be liable for working on something like that? Also why are spacers looked down upon? Are they unsafe?

ricer-x has them and loves the way it looks.... so i dont know.... i might just mark the cut out and use a rotary tool to expand it, or i will take them to a machine shop that my company deals with and see how much they would charge......

Damn, either way this is really killing my mod budget. I guess i'm out on the shackles. If i change my mind i'll get with you and see if you still have them. Sorry for all of the BS involved with it. Thanks, Alex
