Go where this Rubicon couldn't. He's locked front & rear and I'm thinking with a little struggle and a good spot, I can finish the trail where this guy didn't or at least without winching.

This park looks brutal. I'm hoping they've got a pretty good selection for the "little tire" guys but if not, there's going to be a few big boys in my group I can watch trash their rigs instead. Best of all... it's less than an hour from my house! :)

Well I didn't get to attempt the obstacle on that first vid but I really wowed the crowd when I climbed the wall in that second vid... also had them running for cover too. lol This thing was nasty! The video doesn't even do it justice because just to the left of the camera guy there is a big ass boulder you've got to crawl over and the trail is super tight between trees so you only have one option... bump and run.
My review:
This park has some wickedness to it. Did a trail run yesterday with my local club and although it's a small park (<1000 acres), it has plenty of trails to keep you busy all day. You'll have long sections of bumpy soft dirt trails with steep hill climbs that will suddenly turn into a gnarly rock garden with a few big boulders in the mix. Wall climbs, waterfall climbs, mud pits, you name it... it has it.
The one thing I think that may hurt the park is the type of soil. No idea what it is but post-rain I'm thinking that whole park becomes sloppy slick in a hurry. Especially on the hill climbs where quite a few times my tilt-gauge was hitting the 25-30 degree mark the whole climb. Fortunately it was semi-dry for us. I noticed guys running the new BFG Krawlers really struggled. The tread doesn't clean out worth a shit. My Coopers really shined though. I made an apology to the group and spectators because my tread was cleaning out nicely... but sending bystanders scrambling for cover.
Almost every rig had some sort of failure or damage. I knocked a few dents around the passenger taillight and the taillight itself basically exploded on a tree. Still had a damn good time.
I didn't get many pics that I can remember but as the others post up, I'll share them here.
For folks in Tennessee, southwestern NC and northwestern Georgia, I say the trip is worth it. Super nice people that run the park. $10 to get in. If you bring a group, call ahead and they will bring out grills to their pavilion and grill up some kickass burgers, brats and dogs.
