Is there any way to do a 3" Calmini suspension lift with Bilstein shocks? Ive read that people have problems with the Calmini shocks and thats about all. Would this be possible to do or is there an alternitive to this. Sorry for asking so many questions today but i hope to do a lot to the xterra this year so it is California/Arizona ready.

go with SLR if you have the money to spend..... if not then save a couple of dollars and go with AC both are 3" lift but slr allows more droop is the UCA's..... i have the AC lift and i got 4" out of the rear and 3.5" in the front......

There are so many SLR kits. What one would you recomend for a 2004 4x4 V6 that want to do a lot of rock crawling/road trip camping but also daily driver.
The Stage I - 3 are pretty similar...the primary difference is the rear lift = AAL, or, a new leaf pack.
I started with calmini, and eveloved to a hybrid between AC, SLR and Calmini.
My front end is all SLR, including 300M T-Bars, diff drop kit and Bilstein 5100's...which works great....the 300M bars flex way better and ride way smoother than the std bars....and the extra front droop is good.
My rear end is a combination of oem leaves, Calmini 2-Pack AAL, and Deaver 3-Pack AAL leaves interspersed, with Revover Shackles.
The lift is mostly from the leaves, the flex is mostly from the Revolvers.
I do environmental work, so I need to haul test gear into th boonies and so forth....and the X weighs around 5,800 lb according to out truck scale when heading out to a site, etc....so I NEED a lot of suspension support to hold the dam beast up. (The GVWR is 5,200 lb...)
:D
For a family going camping, or doing some rock crawling, etc...its a nice solution.
The Revolvers allow massive rear travel, while letting the suspension follow the terrain...the ride on the road is just amazing back there now.
If starting from scratch, but wanting a true do it all rig.....You might just order the SLR stage III with the new leaf pack set up for the weight of the X with full armor/equipment, so it doesn't sag under the weight...and get the Bilsteins for the 3" SL 20% stiffer than stock, and the 28.5 mm 300M T-Bars.
You'll also need the steering reinforcement kit...which is expensive until they refund your cores...but, its the most bullet proof one in the industry.
Add a 2" BL, a set of 33's...and you are one capable guy.
