Everyone at Rausch Creek Off-Road Park is excited to bring the news of "new land" to you. That's right, we are adding 1,250 acres to your wheeling pleasure starting in April (or sooner). RC has been able to work out a deal to use 1,250 acres across the street from our current location. This land has been used on a part-time basis for high speed racing. The master plan is to start cutting trails in the woods and adding a ton of additional mileage to the park's trail network. This area has some features that we don't have on our normal area (long hill climbs, washouts, open mud pit areas and much more). Part of this area will be closed from time to time for our RCrocs races and other events but these dates will be listed on our website ahead of time.

Now hear me out please!!!! With this increased land there is a cost. If you choose to wheel on this new area there will be a $10 fee to venture to the new 1,250 acres. To acquire this land there was a cost to RC and so that is why it is passed along to you the wheelers. So it is real simple. When you check in each day there is the normal fee of $35 for the current land we use or $45 for the current land and the added 1,250 acres.

OK now let the questions fly LOL

Well when you have only one legal place that size in the entire state of PA, thats what you have to deal with.

An extra $10 isn't that bad really....I donate a lot more than that to various groups to PRESERVE existing trails...this goes to ADDING trails.

We've never had that option, its always been 50/50 for the day of the trail cutting/maintenance.

I'm always up for trail work.

Count me in.

All trails are Green or is that just the color of the map?

That's 14 MILES of Green Trails/Access Trails, etc...

Lynn says that a lot of the green trails will require low range 4wd, but the access parts/easier sections can be in 4 hi, etc.

Those 14 miles of trail are what connects every thing....and that the blues, blacks and reds will branch off from these trails.

WE will be clearing these trails in a few weeks (3/27) (Well, starting to at least...), and the BLUES, BLACKS and REDS in the future, after the connecting parts are in place.

Lynn also said:

The main loop is called the "N" trail, with four separate sections to help identify where you are on the property.

The area north of the Blacktop Road is wooded, the lower half has a mix of woods and wide open areas.

The PIT area is just that, something similar to Lake Christy but without the super deep water.

Area 51 is a huge wide open area where many of the clips from the RCQ and race events are from.

Don't let the wide-open gaps on the map fool you, we've found some cool obstacles and areas for handcut trails all over the property. And there's a lot of elevation change all over the property as well.
