just bought a new component set for my 03 xterra with the stock pillar tweeters. I found this picture online of what it looks like under the pillar.

my question is, how might i mount up the new tweeter in this location? are there any howtos floating around?

In a different car, I mounted tweeters before using strips of 1/8" thick, 1" wide aluminum to make a bracket. It's easy to bend with pliers and cut with tin snip.

There are no how-tos I know of, I asked the question before and only got generic "make a bracket" responses like I just gave you. I'll be sure to take pics if I do this before you do, but it seems like you'll beat me to it, since I haven't even bought the speakers yet.

you can use the bracket thats already there. you have to flatten it out a bit then just use the screw it came with and presto! its on.

this is good to know, i havent even pulled the pillar off yet, just been doing some internet reading until my speakers show up
