My name is jason and i just bought m favorite vehicle ever! Ever since the first comercial i saw back in like 99 or so about the xterra, i wished so badly that i could have one. i was only sixteen at the time, so it wasn't happening for a while. i've since joined the marines and fought in three different countries, gotten married to a wife thats far too beautiful for me and had a son that couldn't be any more adorable.
so on to the Xterra! i just got back from afghanistan and i the first thing i wanted to do when i got home was go out get my new xterra. so i got a really good deal on a X trim with most of the upgrades the SE comes with. night armor, 4x4, its got the alloy rims that the OR comes with but not the tires. im putting the bilstein set up into it in a week and im wondering how much lift i will get from it.... anyway im loaded on pain pills because i got blown up by a booby trap while i was in a fire fight in AFG. im starting to ramble. but i want to know if i can get the locker in mine for a reasonable price?

It's apparently a lot more involved than simply getting the guts of the diff off an OR to throw into another model X. I think a lot of guys suggest just going the ARB air actuated route as that locker is quite a bit tougher than the factory one.

So we have something in common, I was 16 when I saw that commercial in 99 too (with that "fly away" song right) haha, and just got my xterra finally too. But.. I am Air Force lol. Welcome!

Thanks for your service yall. I'm heading to iraq in a few months. I have to leave my 01 at home in Florida...but I'm comin back with some money....anyone know if i can swap out my stock automatic with the manual? and how about a supercharged engine?
