Just wondering if anyone is interested in an app for ClubX on their IPhone or Android network? If so should it be free? if its an app for purchase where should the proceeds go? this Poll is multiple choice. is there anyone out there that might want to take some time an build an app for ClubX?

Yes. If it's $0.99, all of the money should be pooled and given to the X of the year to help pay for mods. :D

who would be developing this app?
it makes sense to me that we are more likely to actually get something like this if its not free and the profit goes to the developer

what would the app be? basically just a link to the site? if so then surte free sounds about right, if its something special then i dont think free will get it done
i guess the whole app things is a lil over my head, i mean, we have a touch but i dont understand the benefit of a CX app over just using the browser to go to the site

can someone enlighten me so i can vote accordingly?

Maybe instead of an app, make the website Mobile-friendly, so instead of going to clubxterra.org go to m.clubxterra.org and make it fit on your phone by getting rid of the stuff that isnt needed, just like if you are going to facebook on your phone.

I agree with slugger, woud be much easier as a mobile friendly. I work mids don't have access to the web except for my blackberry curve. Would be freaking awesome either way!

well i figure if we get enough support behind this idea and we can get someone to make something, it cant be that hard to port over to other devices. i know for the iPhone what i've been doing is if you open up safari and log into clubx, make sure you select 'remember me' (i just look at active topics most of the time) and click the active topics link...once page fully loads i zoomed in to the clubx logo and hit the '+' at the bottom of the page and then you hit "add link to homepage" or whatever it says...then everytime you open that link from you're homepage it automatically refreshes the active topics page...thats what i've been doing...

if we could get all the licensing and legal bullcrap out of the way, i'd be in for developing/designing it

http://developer.apple.com/iphone/program/

thats the link to apples developer section...im sure if we have enough support maybe we could chip in a few buck to get you the $99 developer pkg...i know i'd be willing to chip in...the only thing is not sure if what happens when the new sdk 4.0 comes out...i think you just re-download at no added cost...but dont quote me on that it is apple we're talkin about here...lol
