I've got a manual transmission 2006 Xterra that isn't driven much and has about 35k miles on it.

I tried to start it last weekend and it won't start, and thought it may be because of the really cold few days we've had in Chicago and the fact that I probably had low fuel in it. In any case, I put in 3 more gallons of gas today, and it won't start still and it doesn't appear to be turning over. The standard electrical things go on when I turn the ignition, but that's about it.

There seems to be enough electricity to keep my keylock and stock anti-theft device going as well as allowing me to turn on the internal fan, internal lights, etc. The radio won't turn on, however.

Do I just need a boost from someone? Does it sound like the battery is just too low to help with the ignition?

Thanks for your advice.

Sounds like a battery issue to me, try getting a jump.

I'd try jumping it as well.

try a jump like previously noted and have your battery tested at a place like autozone or some other place. the battery if its the stock one may be not producing enough amps to turn the starter.
