i talked to a clamini rep today about the S.A.S. after that i started asking him ?'s about there bumpers he told me that there bumper was top of the line with the best winch mounts and he just went on and on...... so i asked him about powdercoat since i had the shackles that the powdercoat is almost gone, he told me on a powdercoat issue to just send it back and the will reapply the coat...... yeah right like in would take the bumper off and just send it back!!!!!! Then i asked him to compare theres to SHROCK'S and he said that calmini's bumper is made of thicker metal all the way around..... i just laughed and thought to my self who is he really kidding... he also told me that if you try to use shrock's recovery points that they will fail, and of coarse calmini's wont!!!!!!!!!!!! im glad that the only thing i have ever had of there's is the shackles!

I have only dealt with Calmini a few times over the phone, and that was enough to make we want to send their crap back. They have the suckiest customer service I have encountered in a long time. And their products aren't even up to par.
It's too bad they are the only ones making the SAS kit. Guess I'll just keep my IFS

he told me that he dosn't here that much about people complaining about the powdercoat comming off....go figure, i didnt see that one coming!!!!! he said that if i had any problems with there powder coadt in the future to give them a call and they accept it back and repowdercoat it..... he told me the only reason why the powdercoat would come off is when they clean the metal before they powdercoat, they didnt give it enough time to dry and they PC with moisture there for it it didnt stick properly!!!!!!!

Hmm, I am pretty sure he was wrong on all accounts.
Shrock uses thicker metal on their front bumpers than Calmini's front bumper.
The recovery points on Shrocks front bumper are one piece and is "T'ed" on the inside, then welded in the front and back. In order for the point to fail, the metal would have to rip. Calmini...do they even have a front recovery point on their bumper?
The winch mounting is a wash as it just depends on what you like better. Top mount on the outside or feet first and mounted inside the bumper.

Calmini has the worst customer service on the planet. It took them FOUR MONTHS just to ship my lift out. I know they make it on order, but contractors can build a space shuttle in that amount of time. Because I had a shop order the lift, they wouldn't talk to me and the boys at the shop were getting chewed out every time I forced them to call Calmini just to get a progress report. Based solely on that, I've decided that everything else will come from Shrockworks. It will be installed in a few days and I will upload pics...

Yeah I hate my Calmini stuff. I have the ENTIRE 3" SL. Never had so many problems with especially their UCA's. The ball joint hardware sucks and comes loose. The bushings are shit. The zerks are impossible to get to.... you name it.
I have had no problems with their T-bars. I think that their shackles could use some better paint and made into a 1 piece instead of a 2 piece.
I have seen AC's shackles but am not too impressed. At first appearance, they seem really beefy to me and big. They are longer than Calmini's but I am still not impressed with the craftsmansip and structural integrity. I might have some made for me instead.
