My 02 SE/SC won't start. It stalled out the other night and I haven't been able to get it started. It sounds like it's not getting fuel. Mechanic said it had good spark and is getting fuel but the knock sensor is bad. I have heard the knock sensor won't keep it from starting though. I also have a post about the knocks sensor and am hoping to avoid the $800 repair job.

Might be a stupid question but did he check the timing belt? How many miles on your X?

How exactly did it stall out? Did it just abruptly die or did it spit and sputter eventually conking out?

Sorry to answer you with questions but the more we know the better we can pinpoint the problem.

To answer the how it stalled question, it did spit and sputter some. After a few minutes it was restarted once long enough to move it 30 feet and then died and has not started since. Also, it has around 70K on it. And I don't know if he checked the timing belt. It doesn't sound like it though.

Ended up being the fuel sending unit which was under recall. Thanks for your help.
