i bet the nozzle is plugged up! the X dosen't have a rear tank..... take the hose loose and have someone push the button, if you get fluid then its your nozzle..if it is then take a set of welding tip cleanersand use the small one and push it through the nozzle. if it aint then the hose is plugged and you have to hind the plug. if thats not the problem then it is the pump, when you press the button do you hear the pump come on??????

ok, the pump is working (you can hear it). and i unplugged the hose in the rear (aft of the plastic hose to hose connector). still nothing. soooo... there is a plug in the line. i'm thinking perhaps i can somehow pressure the line with fluid and force out the blockage. any suggestions will be appreciated.

i couldnt find a exact location of the pump but here is the routing of the tubes, the motor should be in that general location. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h255/jsongrl/jason/washerdiagram.jpg

I know this is old but if anyone encounters this in the future, then I recommend pulling the little end off of your hatch. Remove it, clean the end of the tube, and blow on it in some water. That way you have eliminated the fact that it might be that end of it.

If you DO have a clog there, then do as jason was saying and get in there somehow. If the clog is at the tips, then I recommend a very fine tipped sewer's needle to clean out the nozzles. This will also help you aim them.

Someone asked this on another forum as well in XF and checking the motor is the right way to go. Have someone put an ear down there and check it out. If it sounds good, then it is not the motor. I did not even know there was a check valve and still do not know it's exact location. Does anyone know this location?

I live in Colorado, and a head's up, while we are still in the summer months, I would do the switch to something like Prestine De-icer with Dirt blocker. This has freeze protection in the worst of weather and removes frost and light ice. Of course this is only if you live in areas where there is harsh weather, otherwise your washer fluid will freeze up on you like mine did this winter. Very dangerous!
