Well the stock 6disc was shot when I bought my "X" so i hit up car toys and they said 800 for the nav 1300 for the deck 200 for the install i leaft paying under 1300 but not by much...As far as it goes im more then happy i have all the toys i wanted to get me started more to come later..I plan to upgrade all speakers add a 12 eclipse sub fiberglassed in and an amp also eclipse..and then a game system with a large monitor from the roof...also a use for my daughter...here are some pics feel free to ask questions or make coments thanks J

i like it but the only thing i dont is that you cant hide the screen. so anybody that passes by the X could see that you have a screen and then plan on taking it. but you never know, dark tint and you wont have to worry about it..... but either way it looks great

I live in the sticks so at home i'm good to go then i wor in a farm area for work basically plus this thing isent just set in there...I know how to steal a cd player etc this would not be easy you have to remove the dash and remove bolts etc wouldn't be worth the time that you could get into5 honda civic's lol

you are right about that, but you never know, and i know alot of people that have had there radios stolen or almost stolen and when the theif finds out that he cant take it he/she will proab end up breaking it just cause. which is even worse cause its still there but you cant use it!!!!!

yeah been there i pay for the parts coverage on my insurence just because of that...there are alot of stupid amature theifs out there and thats just what they do damage something...

What kind of speakers are you considering?

speakers umm...I'm trying to wait it out i was going to get some 3way eclipse speakers but not sure now...as for subs i'm going with either one or two JL audio 13.5's go big or go home baby

actually i believe there is a way to remove the face of it....apparently when my parents bought my X while i was at school the former owner showed them how to remove it but they didnt pay attention. I have mine at school right now and i park far from my classes or w/e until i figure out how to remove the face. im not going to take a chance on some kid stealing my system...

I've heard of several people who have had break ins and the thief destroyed the interiors of their cars because their equipment was bolted in too tight for him to get. Holes and gashes in the dashboard, seats slashed up, tires slashed in some cases. I even heard one where the guy took the crow-bar he used to break the window to get in and scraped it along the entire outside of the car.

I've had a break in in my car (2005 Mustang, lost Alpine 9856, 30gb iPod, pass. window) and it wasn't the stereo or the iPod (which was a Christmas present from my girlfriend) that hurt, it was seeing my car damaged. I'd much rather have my stereo equipment gone than any part of my car damaged.

What kind of head unit do you have?
If its a removeable face plate then (on mine at least) in the bottom right of the player, there is a little eject button, and the face plate pops right out.

I have the same unit in my x its a great unit, but how long have you had it because i cant get my nav to work right i work at circuit city in the install bay so i know i have everything hooked up right, but im new to the actual unit i picked it up real cheap for only 250. i just dont get any voice guidence.
