i know this probably isnt discussed to often on here but i was wondering how can i go about lowering an xterra? are there any options available?
i've searched and nothing really helpful has come up.

AC offers a lowering kit for the x and here is the link http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/index.php3?page=shop/browse&category_id=b744ddb6578fa2ee6f7e55228fe01f90&ps_session=ef881799199a9e38e4eec644bac3e753

3" drop blocks (http://www.4x4parts.com/public_html/shop/index.php3?page=shop/flypage&product_id=1236&category_id=b744ddb6578fa2ee6f7e55228fe01f90&ps_session=8dee0b58aefc5ef584f3ab51efe3cf55)
And I don't think the Frontier spindles will work on the Xterra.

ok i think i've got this right the drop blocks are just for the rear end correct? if so how do i lower the front end? also do these components work with the 4wd? is there a difference between a 2wd x and a 4wd x?
sorry i'm used to cars with strut/coil spring suspensions this is my first truck lol

i think it is the same in the rear and all you do i lower the front with the t-bar.... or to find out exactly how just call AC and ask

ok i did some research on the torsion bars and found a how to on lifting a truck and i'm guessing to lower is just the opposite of lifting right?
instead of increasing tension on them to raise it i should just lower the tension until i gets it lower? is that basically right?

as far as i know yes but i might be wrong, just lower the t-bars the same amount and remember eventhough you are not lifting it you still need a alignment.

That's right, done opposite of lifting. Use the t-bars to lower the front. Just turn each side the same amount and with the weight off the front wheels because the bolts can be stripped. This can be done the same way for both 2 and 4wd. And you will need to have an alignment done after lowering because the camber will go positive, that is the top of the wheels will tilt outwards. Hope this helps and good luck!
